Alex Windsor To Challenge Syuri For NJPW STRONG Women’s Title At Pro-Wrestling: EVE Wrestle Queendom 8

The challenge was issued during an NJPW event.

The semi-main event of NJPW The New Beginning USA was Syuri putting the IWGP Women’s Championship on the line against ROH Women’s World Champion Athena. Syuri is also the NJPW STRONG Women’s Champion, but only her IWGP Title was up for grabs.

Syuri bested Athena to retain the belt. Post-match, Syuri extended a handshake to the ROH Champion, but Athena slapped her hand away. Syuri then took the ROH Women’s World Title belt and held it. She eventually handed it back to Athena.

As Syuri was celebrating on the entrance stage, the lights cut out and a video message aired from Alex Windsor. She issued a challenge to Syuri for Pro-Wrestling: EVE’s Wrestle Queendom 8 show on March 8th at Indigo at The O2 in London, England. Windsor wants the NJPW STRONG Women’s Championship.

Will Ospreay, who is a producer for EVE and the significant other of Windsor, stated in a media appearance that Syuri’s match for Wrestle Queendom 8 would be announced in late February.

In 2025, Syuri and Windsor clashed in the EVE promotion over the IWGP Women’s Title. Syuri retained in the 21-minute bout.
