Alexa Bliss Says WWE Royal Rumble Return Wasn’t Decided Until 4 AM

Alexa Bliss details her return at the 2025 WWE Royal Rumble.

Alexa Bliss made her return to WWE television in the women’s Royal Rumble, entering at number 21.

It was Alexa’s first appearance since the 2023 WWE Royal Rumble event.

Speaking to Nikki Bella & Brie Bella on the Nikki & Brie Show, Alexa detailed her Royal Rumble return and when it all came together.

“I got the call at midnight the night before. It wasn’t fully decided until 4 AM. I get a call at 5, ‘Alright, we need you on a plane by 10 AM.’ Flew to Cincinnati, got driven in (to Indianapolis), had to cover up, got snuck into a back room. There was hair and makeup. I didn’t get there until 4. We were the first match starting at 6. I got there at 4, I have someone in there who is ready to do my hair. I haven’t slept because that was an all-night process of figuring out. I hadn’t slept. I hadn’t eaten. I was deliriously tired. I’m in my house at 3 AM with a phone light because I’m not trying to wake up the baby because my gear is next to her closet. I’m looking through old gear, ‘Okay, what can still fit me?’ I told Ryan [Cabrera] at 4 AM, ‘I think I’m going to Rumble.’ ‘Huh?’ ‘Do you want to come?’ ‘I’m so tired. What?’ ‘Never mind.’ I get on a plane, go, and no one knew I was there. The girls didn’t know I was there until I was in Gorilla. No one knew I was there,” she said.

Alexa lasted 11 minutes in the match before she was eliminated by Liv Morgan.

Shotzi Blackheart previously revealed that Alexa took her spot in the match, and Alexa was apologetic about things after the fact. You can find Shotzi’s comments by clicking here.
