Alexis Lete: I Signed Up For WWE Because I Thought It Was Fake

Alexis Lete was released by WWE in September 2023 after being signed as a recruit in August 2022. She never appeared on WWE TV.
During her time in the promotion, she suffered a concussion and a broken tailbone.
Speaking to Adam Metwally on That One Time, Alexis was asked about the biggest myth when it comes to wrestling.
“That it’s fake. It’s a lot more real than you think. Everyone is like, ‘Oh, wrestling is so fake.’ I signed up to be in WWE because I thought it was fake. I didn’t think I was going to get injured. I didn’t think I was actually going to be doing stuff that hurt my body and potentially damage me for the rest of my life. It’s a lot more real than people think it is and your body is so friggin’ sore. I feel like, for the year and a half I was there, my nervous system was constantly in fight or flight mode because of the bumping and constant wear and tear on my body,” she said.
Following her release, Alexis detailed her time in WWE. You can find her full comments here.
