As 2022 continues, Aliyah hopes to make more history.

"We're heading to Saudi for Elimination Chamber. No matches have been announced. It would be an honor to be the first-ever Arab superstar to perform in the Middle East. That's always been a huge goal of mine," she told Denise Salcedo of Instinct Culture when asked about her 2022 goals.

Aliyah was called up to the main roster during the 2021 Draft after being on NXT since 2015.

Speaking about her call up, Aliyah said, “I had no idea that I was clueless, to say the least {laughs}… I found out the day before TV {NXT}… I just remember my drive that morning to the Performance Center to the shoot, I was just in tears, like I could not stop crying cause I couldn’t fathom that that was the last drive I was gonna make there, little did I know now that I am still training there, I am still going {laughs} but back then I just remember the whole drive I was just balling.”

Before being called up, she participated in a handful of dark matches ahead of WWE SmackDown.

Speaking about her dark match experience, Aliyah said, "I think it was a week or two weeks after that I was booked to do dark matches, so I did the dark match one week and I got invited back and I just kept getting invited back for dark matches, dark matches, dark matches…. Eventually, the contract was offered and it was there… haven’t looked back since."

Aliyah is set to compete in the 2022 Women's Royal Rumble. You can find a list of participants in the bout by clicking here.
