Aliyah: My Biggest Advice To NXT Talent Is To Lock In And To Rise Above The Noise And Distractions

Aliyah gives advice to NXT talent, noting that they need to ‘lock in’.

The former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion is one of NXT’s longest serving talents, as she would be a member of the NXT roster for six years before her WWE main roster callup in in 2021. She also holds the record for the fastest victory in WWE history.

While speaking to PWMania in a new interview, Aliyah was asked what advice she’d give to NXT talent grinding in developmental, noting that she believes they have to ‘lock in’.

“My biggest advice is to lock in. There’s a lot of noise and distraction, and you need the focus to rise above it. One tool that helped me tremendously was Jack Canfield’s The Success Principles. I read it almost every day while in NXT and still do today. Being in developmental for six years isn’t easy — it can test your confidence, your patience, and even your love for the business. But it taught me discipline and gave me the tools I needed to make it through. For anyone chasing a big dream against the odds, staying disciplined and finding ways to keep yourself motivated is everything.”
