Andrade And Charlotte Are Open To The Idea Of Being In A Mixed Tag Team In The Future

After Andrade and Charlotte Flair recently announced their engagement and now they're open to the idea of them wrestling alongside each other in the future.

In the UK to promote WWE's move to BT Sport in the UK, Andrade and Charlotte were asked on if they want to team together as a mixed tag team or simply be a part of a storyline together. Even though Charlotte said she likes the idea, she doesn't want to take away Andrade's focus as the new United States Champion and get in the way of the on-screen, professional relationship between him and Zelina Vega.

"So, for Andrade right now, the focus is having the US championship, and his bond with Zelina is so strong. I think the two of us having separate storylines and not being together on camera is probably for the best right now. Definitely later down the road, we’re open to the idea of a mixed tag or doing something together. But I think right now is a super important time in his career, and I wouldn’t want to interfere with how well Zelina and Manny work together," Charlotte told Metro.

In turn, Andrade said he would be up for that in-ring partnership, but doesn't want to just throw away what he and Vega had worked for years. The two had been paired together since their days at NXT, which included a run for Andrade as the NXT Champion.

"Maybe in the future, it would be a good idea. But now, Zelina’s been working with me for four years. I won the NXT title with Zelina, and now the United States championship," Andrade agreed.

This wouldn't be the first time a couple wrestled together on WWE television in recent months as Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins, who are also engaged, teamed together and faced Baron Corbin and Lacey Evans at last year's Extreme Rules pay-per-view.
