On the August 30th episode of WWE Speed, Pete Dunne challenged Andrade for the WWE Speed Championship. Dunne and Andrade battled back and forth early on. Andrade gained the upper hand and hit a split-legged moonsault for a two-count.
Dunne gained the upper hand and locked in an arm-bar. Andrade escaped, but Dunne rocked him with a kick. He dumped Andrade with a German suplex and drilled him with another kick. Andrade rallied with double knees in the corner. Dunne countered The Message and wrenched Andrade’s fingers. In the end, Andrade nailed Dunne with a back elbow, and he hit The Message for the win.

Dunne previously beat Je'Von Evans in the semifinals of a tournament to crown Andrade's next challenger.
