Along with the creation of this new show, there have been talks of the AEW roster potentially undergoing a brand split.

During a new interview on the Please Steal Our Ideas podcast, Andrade revealed that he would prefer a definitive brand split with separate rosters and championship belts for AEW Dynamite and AEW Collision.

"I don't know yet, but I hope [the shows will be] separate. I hope [they] make a new title. Maybe separate the brands like it's another company. I hope that Dynamite, the roster, and the talent — Collision, this new brand for AEW, I wish [for the shows to be] separate. I don't know yet."

Continuing, Andrade would double down on his hopes for new title belts to be created.

"I wish. I hope so, too because this is a new brand. We need new goals. If we have different titles, it's good because you can compete for the title," Andrade said when asked if new titles would be created for AEW Collision.

Asked if more titles would water down the reigns of someone like MJF, current AEW World Champion, Andrade responded, "I think it's good. I love the idea because this is more opportunities for the roster, more storylines for the titles. I think maybe in the future, or maybe soon, [new titles] is a good idea. I hope the office or the writers [will hear this]. Yeah, 100%. We need a new title."

Tony Khan stated in a recent interview that he had not yet decided on a hard brand split. Fans can read his comments here.

The first episode of AEW collision will feature The Comeback match of CM Punk as he teams with FTR against Samoa Joe, Jay White, and Juice Robinson. Learn more about that match here.
