Andrew Yang: It Seems TKO Really Screwed Up WWE And WrestleMania With Ads And Celebs

Chair of the Forward Party Andrew Yang weighs in on WrestleMania.
Many fans criticized WrestleMania 42 for the number of ads that ran during the show, along with the celebrity involvement leading up to and during the event. The heaviest criticism came towards Pat McAfee and Jelly Roll being inserted into the main event angle between Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes.
On social media, political speaker Andrew Yang gave his thoughts, saying, “It seems that TKO has really screwed up WWE/Wrestlemania with ads and celebs and getting away from the heart of pro wrestling – and talented performers are paying the price.”

In 2020, Yang called WWE, “fucking greedy” for their stance regarding third party platforms and highlighted that talent is classified as independent contractors. He publicly discussed the potential unionization of wrestling, but ultimately, nothing came from it.
