Angelo Dawkins: My Knees Broke My Fall On The Spear In TLC Match

On the April 25th episode of WWE SmackDown, the Street Profits (Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins) defended the WWE Tag Team Titles against DIY (Tommaso Ciampa & Johnny Gargano) and Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley & Chris Sabin) in a Tables, Ladders, and Chairs match.

During the bout, Dawkins jumped from the ladder and hit a spear on Ciampa, who was hanging from the titles. Both men went crashing through the table below.

"Honestly, I have a big time fear of heights. I was kind of thinking that myself. My knees broke the fall. That was cool. I had the meniscus surgery at the beginning of the year, so I had to really see if my meniscus surgery really worked. It looked like it worked. I had to test it out," Dawkins said with a laugh on Sports with Strawberry Ice.

When it was noted that landing knees first was not ideal, Dawkins confirmed, "Nope. People forget, I'm 280 pounds. I can jump pretty high, but gravity is also a real thing when it comes to me."

Fortunately, Dawkins not only continued the match, but he and Ford were victorious.

The Street Profits remain the WWE Tag Team Champions.
