Anthony Bowens wants to spend time in New Japan Pro Wrestling.
Since becoming a singles competitor in the early part of the year, Bowens has showed a ton of promise, putting on great performances against names like Kazuchika Okada and Kyle Fletcher.
'The Five-Tool Player' has also picked up key wins over names like Blake Christian and Lee Johnson, leading many fans to believe that he has a bright future with AEW.
In a new interview with HypeTalkTV, Bowens was asked about possibly competing for NJPW in the future.
“Oh, absolutely. That’s actually something I want to talk to management about at some point, going over there, especially because we have the partnership. I think it makes total sense. We have Forbidden Door, we have opportunities that -- AEW guys were just at WrestleKingdom last year. Hopefully one day that can come to fruition. Rocky, if you’re listening to this, I’d love to go to New Japan and have some fun.”
Bowens teamed with Max Caster and Hiroshi Tanahashi against The Elite at Forbidden Door in 2024.
