Apollo Crews And MVP Will Battle For The United States Title To Start 8/3 Raw

Apollo Crews end MVP will finally have their WWE United States Championship match on the August 3 Monday Night Raw.

After the United States Championship match at WWE Extreme Rules was moved due to Apollo Crews not being medically cleared, WWE has announced that MVP, with the brand new United States Championship belt, will take on Apollo Crews to finally determine an Undisputed WWE United States Champion.

From WWE:

Will the real United States Champion please stand up?

Apollo Crews and MVP will settle that question to kick off this Monday night’s Raw as they battle for the United States Title.

The storied prize has been clouded in controversy lately. Crews was originally set to defend the Championship against MVP at The Horror Show at WWE Extreme Rules, but wasn’t cleared to compete as a result of Bobby Lashley’s attack.

As a result, MVP declared himself the new Champion, even unveiling a new title.

With Crews ready to go — and likely fed up with the braggadocious MVP’s antics in recent weeks — can he finally silence his boisterous rival? Or will MVP solidify his claim to the gold?

WWE has also announced that Drew McIntyre and Asuka will appear on the episode to seek retribution on Randy Orton and Sasha Banks respectively for the happenings of last week.

Fightful will have live coverage of the episode beginning at 8 p.m. Eastern on Monday.
