Apollo Crews Has No Plans To Add To His Duo With Commander Azeez

Apollo Crews introduced the world to Commander Azeez at WrestleMania 37 when Aziz helped him win the Intercontinental Championship from Big E.

Since then, Azeez has helped Crews retain the Intercontinental Title at every turn.

But is there room for one more in Crews' stable?

"You have to meet a certain standard if you want to be part of what is going on over here," Crews said on the Yak Channel Podcast when asked if there were plans to add another member to the group. "Aziz definitely meets that standard. He gave me the assist at WrestleMania, but a win is a win. Maybe just the two of us. Sometimes, three can be too much. Three is company, two is a party. What we have going on right now is good. I don't want anything to come in there and disrupt that or throw off the chemistry. I will leave it open. Potentially, there could be room, but right now, I'm not worried about that."

Crews isn't short on challengers as Cesaro, Big E, and Shinsuke Nakamura all lined up for a crack at the Intercontinental Champion on the July 23 episode of WWE SmackDown.

Fightful will have live coverage of WWE SmackDown beginning at 8 p.m. ET on Friday.
