Ari Emanuel And Mark Shapiro To Acquire Minority Ownership Stakes In The Las Vegas Raiders

Ari Emanuel and Mark Shapiro are getting involved with the NFL.

As first reported by Sports Business Journal, TKO execs Ari Emanuel and Mark Shapiro are each buying minority ownership stakes in the Las Vegas Raiders. The outlet noted that once the deal closes, Emanuel will own 1.4% of the team while Shapiro owns 0.6%.

Deadline notes that both of these deals are personal and are not connected to TKO. Despite the separation, it’s worth noting Emanuel and Shapiro aren’t the only TKO-involved executives involved with the Raiders. Egon Durban, the co-CEO of Silver Lake, owns a 25% stake in the team. Silver Lake is a private equity firm that owns Endeavor, which is the parent company of TKO.

Allegiant Stadium, the home of WrestleMania 42 and 41, is also the home of the Las Vegas Raiders. The team is expected to do well this season with various free agent signings and the addition of their new franchise quarterback, Fernando Mendoza.

Mark Shapiro made headlines earlier this week when he said that he doesn’t regret moving WrestleMania 42 to Las Vegas. Check out his full comments by clicking here.
