Arkady Aura speaks about transitioning from an in ring professional wrestler to becoming a ring announcer.

Aura has been a part of AEW’s broadcast team since 2024, and has become a staple of the promotion as a ring announcer. Now, Arkady has explained how she came to be a ring announcer.

While speaking to Denise Salcedo in a new interview, Arkady Aura spoke about transitioning from a career in the ring to becoming a ring announcer.

“When I started, it was a little bit more of a mixed bag- like trying out where I fit in and where I was going to be. I feel like now I found my lane with ring announcing, which is so much fun because it’s a big job. It’s ring announcing and hosting. So there’s a lot that goes into it, it’s nice to be able to focus on it now full-term and be on Collision. So, I know what I’m doing every week. My journey started with trying to be a wrestler. That’s where it started and it clearly did not end there. I’m not AEW Women’s World Champion (material). I started out with that, it wasn’t the path for me. (I) Took some time off and then I wanted to do interviews and ring announcing sort of happened. I wasn’t pursuing ring announcing, but I got the opportunity and I loved it.”

Elsewhere in the same interview, Aura spoke about her biggest inspirations for her ring announcing career. You can read more about that here.
