Cody Rhodes is still banged up, but he won't take time off.
On February 10, AEW announced Cody had suffered a slight tear of his left rotator cuff. Cody took time off after the bout, but was back in the ring on March 3 for his tag team match alongside Red Velvet against Shaquille O'Neal & Jade Cargill. He would then go on to compete in a ladder match at AEW Revolution, where he was checked on by trainers during the bout, missing a chunk of the match.
On Coach's Corner following Revolution, Arn provided an update on Cody.
"A month ago, Cody dinged his shoulder up. I told him after that, 'Let's pull out of the Shaq match, we can do it later, it's no problem.' He said, 'No, not chance.' He was in for the Shaq match. You saw that big bump they took through the tables. My God, it almost killed Shaq, what do you think it did to Cody's shoulder? At [AEW Revolution] you could tell it was bothering him and I said, 'Take the rest of this night off and we'll do this another day. You do not have to be in this match. We'll have other chances.' You know what he said to me, 'What would you have done? Would you take yourself out?' So, I shut up. I just came out of the room checking on Cody and he said, 'we'll be ready by Wednesday.' He's wrestling Wednesday! I can't tell him what to do, I can only advise him," said Arn.
Arn also took a shot at Scorpio Sky and how he earned his victory in the ladder match at Revolution. Sky will challenge Darby Allin for the AEW TNT Championship on Wednesday's Dynamite. No opponent was given for Cody.
