Ash By Elegance discusses how she has enjoyed helping other’s careers in wrestling, including the Elegance brand.
Upon Ash By Elegance’s arrival in TNA in early 2024, she would begin to develop a faction that would later become The Elegance brand, featuring herself, Ash By Elegance, Heather By Elegance, M By Elegance
and The Personal Concierge. Following her retirement from wrestling earlier this year, Ash has fallen back into a backstage role with TNA, but even before that, Ash says she was enjoying helping other’s careers.
“It’s been truly awesome to be able to help others in their career. ‘Cause I like look back at my career and it was a cutthroat locker room back in the day. When I first broke into the business, it was everyone fighting for that opportunity and chance. Granted, we had such a family group and dynamic, coming over in TNA, I had nothing really to lose, but I wanted to help other people. So one of my debut matches was Heather, and we stepped foot in the ring and we were wrestling around and she was so quiet all day and she was like, ‘Yeah, I’ll do that. Yeah, I’ll do it. Okay, no problem. Yeah, no worries.’ Then coming back, I remember management was like, ‘Hey, what do you think of her?’ I was like, ‘I really like her. She listens. She can go if she wants to. She has very unique in-ring skills.’ I was like, ‘She’s awesome.’ Then she goes, ‘Hey, can I tell you something?’ I was like, ‘Yeah, what’s up?’ She’s like, ‘I used to watch you when I was a kid growing up. You taught me how to do the flips.’ I’m like, ‘Oh, my god, you’re aging me now. I can’t believe that I’m in a position to help others.’ Then when M came about, I saw star quality in her from the moment I saw her. I just knew I needed to get my hands on her and be like, ‘Look, we gotta get you out of this generic wrestling gear and we just gotta give you that star power in this makeover.’ I was like, ‘What’d you do? Did you come from a farm?’ Because her hair’s curls and stuff. I was like, ‘Let me give you a makeover.’ Then my personal concierge, oh my God, people get so annoyed of him. The moment he comes out is like unreal. But I always say it’s like, M is tall, my personal concierge is medium, and there’s short. Sometimes the camera guy has to like step back because if you get a close shot on us, you lose M. So it’s funny, you have to like zoom out to get the whole brand.”
