Ash By Elegance loves being able to tell stories that can resonate with modern women through her role on TNA Wrestling programming.
Ash By Elegance is a far cry from who Dana Brooke was presented as on WWE television. This character is far more vain and Ash believes this is helping her tell stories that resonate with modern women and takes trending topics from the realm of social media and into the squared circle.
Speaking on the Battleground Podcast, Ash explained that she believes that even though it doesn't get talked about often, women are focused on honestly focused on such topics as getting lip fillers and Botox and she feels her character is telling stories of women empowerment from another angle than anything else going on in wrestling.
"I love to bring a good story to the table. In wrestling, everybody loves to do moves. Everyone loves to go off and fly high off of the top ropes but there has to be a story behind it and that's definitely something that I've been loving about TNA," she said. "I get to bring real-life situations to the table that maybe certain you know females don't want to talk about. I'm telling you 90% of women out there if they don't want to say it, they do get Botox. They do try and take care of their skincare, their teeth, or smile. They love jewelry and accessories.
"So I'm bringing it out. I have my brass knuckles, I like to drink champagne and I'm using that in the ring. You know, Xia [Brookside] popped me with [my brass knuckles], she broke my tooth, she popped out my veneer, she made -- my facial features when I got lip fillers, she made them swell up. So I'm addressing 2024 real-life situations that are trending. I want to bring the hot social media in the spotlight, in the ring, and really represent women empowerment in different ways that I don't feel like anyone else in the wrestling industry is doing right now."
