Athena advances in the Women’s Owen Hart Cup after defeating Mina Shirakawa.
AEW Double or Nothing kicked off the Women’s Owen Hart Cup. The women’s opening round began with ROH Women’s World Champion Athena facing Mina Shirakawa.

Throughout the bout, Shirakawa targeted Athena’s injured leg. It wasn’t enough to stop her, however, as Athena managed to deliver an O-Face to Shirakawa for the pinfall. She has now advanced to the semi-finals round in the Women’s Owen Hart Cup.
