Athena Names Kairi Sane As The Wrestler That Has Hit Her The Hardest

Athena has high praise for Kairi Sane.

Sane has been a popular topic of conversation as of late, as her second run with WWE came to a sudden end at the end of April. Since the news broke, the world of wrestling has showed nothing but love to the 14 year veteran.

Chatting with Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp for a new interview, Athena revealed that Kairi Sane is the person that has hit her the hardest in wrestling.

“The person that has hit me the hardest has been Kairi Sane. Hands down, I have never been hit that hard in my life. I remember we were in a match and she hit me with the forearm and my whole jaw went this way and then she hit me with a back fist and it shifted back in and I just was like, ‘Oh, my gosh, why?’ I remember just like powdering out of the ring and it just like, ‘Oh, my gosh.’”

Athena proceeded to joke about how short people can be aggressive and angry

“Maybe that goes the same with me, right? The smaller we are, the more impact we have to put, the more force we have to put behind what we do because everyone already underestimates us. I don’t think a lot of people realize that I’m 5’1. Kairi is probably around the same size, if not shorter than me, maybe a little taller. I don’t know. We’re all around the same size, but like we’re tiny, we’re mighty. We have short people problems of being aggressive and angry all the time. So piss us off and we’re just going to take out all of that frustration on you.”
