Athena Scores Win Over Mina Shirakawa To Retain ROH Women’s World Title At ROH Death Before Dishonor

‘The Forever Champion’ remains champion.

The headlining bout of Ring of Honor’s 2025 Death Before Dishonor pay-per-view saw Athena putting her ROH Women’s World Championship on the line against Mina Shirakawa.

Shirakawa is the Interim ROH Women’s World Television Champion. She was not able to become a double champion, as Athena put her away to hold onto her belt.

Athena is the fourth and longest-reigning ROH Women’s World Champion. She’s had the belt since December 2022.

As of this writing, Athena has been champion for 994 days. The win is a bounce-back victory for Athena as she fell in defeat to ‘Timeless’ Toni Storm in the AEW Women’s World Title match at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door.
