Athena To Challenge Toni Storm For AEW Women’s Title At AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door
Athena will challenge “Timeless” Toni Storm for the AEW Women’s Championship at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door.
The event is set for August 24th.
Athena made the match official on the July 31st episode of AEW Collision, executing her casino gauntlet contract. Athena earned a guaranteed shot at the AEW Women’s Title by winning the women’s casino gauntlet at AEW All In.
Athena pinned Toni on AEW Dynamite in a tag team match. She noted on Collision that she didn’t execute her contract then because she realized it would be an easy win against Storm.
