Aussie Open vs. Bishamon Set For 2022 NJPW World Tag League Finals

The finals in the NJPW World Tag League tournament are set.

Aussie Open (Mark Davis & Kyle Fletcher) will face Bishamon (Hirooki Goto & YOSHI-HASHI) in the finals of the 2022 NJPW World Tag League tournament. The bout will take place on Wednesday, December 14. The winners of the match will move on to challenge for the IWGP Tag Team Championships, which are currently held by FTR (Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler), at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 17.

Aussie Open and Bishamon both finished with a 7-2 record and 14 points in the tournament. Aussie Open had the final night off from World Tag League action as they were scheduled to face Bad Luck Fale & Chase Owens, but won via forfeit as Owens had previously pulled out of the tournament.

Bishamon faced Shane Haste & Mikey Nicholls in the main event. Both teams entered with a 6-2 record. A Bishamon victory, combined with a loss by SANADA & Tetsuya Naito in the co-main event to EVIL & Yujiro Takahashi, who also entered the final night with a 6-2 record, gave Bishamon the second spot in the finals.

Aussie Open defeated Bishamon on night two of the tournament.
