Austin Theory Retains WWE US Title Inside Elimination Chamber, Logan Paul Stomps Seth Rollins

The United States Championship was on the line inside the Elimination Chamber at the eponymous event.

Austin Theory, who has held the title since Survivor Series in November, faced an imposing field of challengers at Elimination Chamber that included Seth Rollins, Johnny Gargano, Montez Ford, Bronson Reed, and Damian Priest. Each of the five men earned their spots in the bout through qualifying matches on the January 30 and February 6 episodes of Raw, respectively.

Details Behind Drew McIntyre's WWE Contract Talks

The bout began with Seth Rollins and Johnny Gargano, marking the first time the two men have clashed inside a WWE ring. They would soon be joined by Austin Theory, the United States Champion having his pod open first. Unfortunately for Theory, Rollins and Gargano would team up and beat up the Champion, though no elimination was scored. Priest would enter the match next, dominating the field until Bronson Reed was released from his pod a few minutes later. Montez Ford would enter last.

Bronson Reed would be eliminated first after getting hit with multiple superkicks, a DDT, a stomp, and a frog splash. Damian Priest would eliminate Gargano next after hitting Razor's Edge. Montez Ford would then pin Priest. Ford would then be eliminated by Theory after having his frog splash blocked and being hit with a stomp. Medical personnel would have to enter the Chamber to help Ford to the back.

With the Chamber door open, Logan Paul would make a surprise appearance and attack Rollins. This would let Theory hit his finisher and pin Rollins to retain his title. Paul would trash talk Rollins on his way to the back, furthering the feud between them.
