Bandido discusses being very happy that that Darby Allin has become the AEW World Champion.

Last month, Darby Allin would capture the AEW World Championship for the first time, defeating MJF to win the title. Since winning the title has defeated Tommaso Ciampa and Brody King in title defenses on AEW Dynamite, and now the Ring Of Honor World Champion has turned his attention to a possible challenge for the AEW world title.

While speaking to The Sportster in a new interview, Bandido spoke about Darby Allin becoming AEW World Champion and wanting a shot at the new champion.

“I’m very happy that now Darby is the AEW world champion. MJF sucks. So now it’s good for Darby, and just this last Wednesday, he had a match against my brother, Brody King, which was awesome. I hope I can get a shot against him. If not, well, I’m just going to be focused in this moment in the things that I have already, and then why not try again (for) the AEW World Championship?”

Elsewhere in the same interview, Bandido spoke about potentially facing off with Swerve Strickland in the near future. You can read more about that here.
