Barbi Hayden Stepping Away From Wrestling To Pursue Stage Show

Barbi Hayden has bid farewell to wrestling.

Barbi Hayden, perhaps best known for portraying the WOW character Abilene Maverick announced on Monday afternoon that she'd be stepping away from pro wrestling. After ten years in the ring, she'll be working with a show called "Atomic Saloon," which she'd been in Scotland preparing and rehearsing for over the course of the last month.

Hayden had multiple WWE tryouts during her run, and performed in a dark match at the first Mae Young Classic back in 2017. She also performed for Ring of Honor in 2013, where she would take on the eventual Ember Moon. In addition, she worked a TNA One Night Only taping.

The versatile Hayden told us months ago in an exclusive interview she was looking to expand into other aspects of broadcasting, performing and wrestling, including interviewing and announcing. She conducted several interviews for Title Match Wrestling and Flagged Sports, as well.

At 28-years old, Hayden leaves pro wrestling as a former NWA World Women's champion, having also captured gold in Lone Star Championship Wrestling and Anarchy Championship Wrestling.
