Batista Has Talked To Vince McMahon About Returning To The WWE

Does Batista ever rule out a return to a WWE ring? Nope.

He spoke to Jim Ross on his podcast recently, and when the idea of him coming back was brought up, he said absolutely. No bridge was burned, but the problem is his schedule. Appearing in big movies like Bladerunner 2049 and Guardians of the Galaxy does take up his time. But he does want to return someday.

But the short answer to that is, yes, I would love to go back, but the reason I have not gone back is because I don't want to do a one-off. I want to go and I want to wrestle. I want to do some house shows. I want to be a part of the program. And the one-off thing, the cheap pop thing, man, it doesn't do anything for me. So now, it's a matter of scheduling if I can go back and if I get injured is it going to affect something else? Yeah.

I'm just not a cheap pop guy, man. It just doesn't work for me. It's not appealing to me at all. Actually, it turns me off. Yeah, but no. I stay in touch [with WWE] and I've talked to Vince recently and he knows what I want.

Batista's last return to the WWE was at the start of 2014, where he won the Royal Rumble. The scheduled main event for Wrestlemania XXX was him versus Randy Orton for the WWE title, but Daniel Bryan's massive success changed things and he was soon added to the card he ended up defeating both Batista and Randy Orton to become WWE champion.
