At WWE Backlash this past weekend, John Cena would make a special announcement regarding a new event titled as ‘The John Cena Classic’ which will feature showcase matches between main roster and WWE NXT talent. Everyone who competes in the John Cena Classic will be eligible for a fan vote to decide the John Cena Classic champion, whether they win or lose. Now, a main roster talent has called on an NXT talent to be ready for a possible bout.
In a new social media reply to a post about Bayley and Tatum Paxley facing off as part of the John Cena Classic, the former WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion would tag Paxley asking if she is ready for a potential bout as part of the event.

Tatum Paxley would respond to the post, seemingly confirming that she would be up for the bout with Bayley. As of this writing, no matches have been announced for the showcase.
