Bayley Has Officially Been WWE SmackDown Women's Champion For One Full Year

Bayley can now celebrate one year as your role model and more importantly, she can celebrate one full calendar year as WWE SmackDown Women's Champion, with an extra day thrown in for leap year (and good measure).

366 days ago, Bayley shed the final remnants of her former self and defeated Charlotte Flair to capture the SmackDown Women's Championship on the October 11, 2019, episode of Friday Night SmackDown. On the first night of the 2019 WWE Draft, Bailey revealed that she had cut her signature ponytail and took an ax-handle to her Bayley Buddies, the inflatable tube men that were synonymous with her former entrance.

Throughout her run, she has made history not only by the length of her title reign but with historic defenses such as the one against Naomi in February of this year at WWE Super ShowDown, the first-ever Women's Championship Match held in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

This run also took a toll on her friendship with Sasha Banks as the two are now on a collision course and they will meet inside of the Hell in a Cell structure for the SmackDown Women's Championship on Sunday, October 25, at the WWE Hell in a Cell pay-per-view.
