Bayley Hopes To Face Mercedes Mone Again, But Deep Down Doesn’t Know

Bayley and Mercedes Mone (Sasha Banks in WWE) made history at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn, putting on one of the most recognized and revered women’s matches in WWE history.

The two would go on to be best friends and bitter enemies during the time together in WWE, but have not wrestled one-on-one since 2020. Mone left WWE in 2020, and joined AEW in 2024. Though they are in different promotions, they remain each other’s biggest supporters.

Speaking to Joe Brophy of TalkSport, Bayley was asked about wrestling Mone again.

“I would hope so. I don’t know deep down. I used to feel deep down that – Yes, but now I don’t know. I just all I can do is hold on to hope, which is what I’m best at. As long as she’s happy, I’m happy,” she said.

Bayley and Mone are former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions together.

Mone has not wrestled since New Year’s Eve 2025.
