Bayley describes her ideal scenarios for WrestleMania.
"The Role Model" has not competed at WrestleMania since WrestleMania 36 in 2020. She appeared in a non-wrestling role at WrestleMania 37, where she interacted with the Bella Twins (Nikki & Brie Bella). She missed WrestleMania 38 the following year because she was recovering from a torn ACL she suffered in July 2021. Bayley returned at WWE SummerSlam 2022, and she brought Dakota Kai and IYO SKY with her, forming Damage CTRL in the process.
The trio have been featured on WWE TV ever since. Kai and SKY are the reigning WWE Women's Tag Team Champions, while Bayley has been feuding with Becky Lynch for a number of weeks. Lynch has formed an alliance with WWE Hall of Famer Lita to combat Damage CTRL's strength in numbers. The dup challenged Kai and SKY to a title match during a confrontation on the February 20 episode of WWE Raw.
In an interview with Ariel Helwani for BT Sport, Bayley was asked to describe her perfect scenario for WrestleMania, and she answered by naming potential matches against Lita and her former tag team partner, Sasha Banks. Bayley also noted that she'd like to have a match with Damage CTRL at WrestleMania, as sharing the ring with them on such a big platform would make her proud.
"My perfect scenario in all of WWE [history], WrestleMania is like me vs. Lita or me vs. Sasha. Right now, if I could pick someone/pick something, it's Damage CTRL in a big match, you know? I think that would be very special to me. To share the ring with them, too, at WrestleMania, even if that were the end of it, if that was our last match together, that would make me so proud and so happy," Bayley said.
Banks, now known as Mercedes Mone, left WWE at the end of 2022 and signed with New Japan Pro-Wrestling. She defeated KAIRI to win the IWGP Women's Championship at NJPW Battle in the Valley on February 18.
