During AJ Lee’s first reign as WWE Divas Champion in 2013, she would head down to NXT for a special appearance. During that appearance, AJ would be approached by Bayley, then deep in her Hugger character during her run in WWE’s developmental brand, and the two would later have a match with Lee’s Divas Championship on the line. While Bayley would come up short in this title challenge, she did come away with one thing she still cherishes.
In a new social media post on Monday, Bayley would quote tweet footage of a segment involving her and AJ, noting that the hug she received from AJ was ‘the best hug of her life’.

AJ Lee would return to WWE programming on the September 5th edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown, returning to help her husband CM Punk against the other WWE power couple, Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins.
