Bayley Says She Wants To Attend Athena’s ‘Who Runs The World 2’ All-Women’s Event

Bayley hopes to attend Who Runs The World 2.

Athena held “Who Runs The World,” an all-women’s show on August 9th. The show featured Billie Starkz, Masha Slamovich, Abadon, and more. Mercedes Mone made a surprise appearance at the event.

Speaking with Bayley on IG Live, Mercedes said it was important to support the indies and women.

“There were so many amazing girls at that show. Especially being there for Athena. To see that she’s doing this to support women’s wrestling, she just wants to help them get more exposure. I wanted to be there to support her,” said Mercedes.

Bayley added, “Athena is the best. For us, coming up on the indies, it’s hard to get booked on shows. If they had space, it was just for one women’s match or there weren’t enough people that wanted to book it because they didn’t think people would want to see it. To have a whole dedicated show to that and put people where you want to give them a chance or your friends or people you know where fans would love to come watch, that’s really cool that she’s doing that. I want to go to the next one.”

Mercedes said she would not be at the second show, which is scheduled for October 25th.

“Good, I will be,” said Bayley.

Mercedes noted that Kris Statlander will be there.

“That’s why I’m going,” said Bayley.
