Bayley Wins Women’s Gauntlet Match, Set To Challenge AJ Lee For Women’s IC Title On 3/16 WWE Raw
Bayley is coming for AJ Lee and her title.
On the March 9 episode of WWE Raw, a multi-woman gauntlet match took place to decide the number one contender to the Women’s Intercontinental Championship. The bout started off with IYO SKY and Lyra Valkyria.
After a solid stretch of fast-paced action, SKY was able to eliminate Valkyria from the contest with her signature moonsault. Raquel Rodriguez entered the match and took control of the match immediately. Eventually, Liv Morgan showed up in an effort to stop SKY’s momentum. Her efforts failed, as SKY went on to eliminate Rodriguez with a inside cradle pin.
Despite being eliminated, Rodriguez further damaged SKY by attacking her after the bell. This allowed Ivy Nile to slide in and eliminate SKY from the match with ease. Bayley was the next entrant. After trading multiple near falls with Nile, Bayley was able to take Nile out of the match with her Bayley-To-Belly slam.
Asuka was out next. Kairi Sane accompanied her at ringside. Things got down and dirty from this point, as Asuka and Bayley traded stiff strikes and slams despite the pace of the match slowing down. Lyra Valkyria showed up to neutralize Sane, allowing Bayley to pin Asuka with her Roseplant finisher to win the entire match.
