Bea Priestley looks back on trying to change her hair color and get a tattoo while in WWE.
Earlier this year, Bea was released from her WWE contract after time in NXT and WWE SmackDown following her main roster callup.
While speaking to Cultaholic in her first interview post WWE, Bea looked back on her time with the company and the issues that came with her trying to change her hair color or get a new tattoo.
“I think I just did a lot of things that I could do while being under contract. So, things like, I got a tattoo on my forearm now. I asked to get an arm tattoo within the company, this is when I was in NXT, and they basically just kind of gave me this whole spiel. If I really pushed for it, I probably could have got approved for it, but it was just like, oh, well you gotta think about we’ve got to [do more] promo pictures, we’ve gotta rescan you for the game, we’ve got to recap you for — It was a whole [thing], it just seemed like a lot of hassle. I was like, okay, it’s just easier for me to not do it than to do it. Even changing my hair color, I kept blonde for so long because they kind of identified that as my look and everything, they didn’t want me to just change it. I’m sure if people remember me from STARDOM, I had a different hair color every month at one point. I did like the blonde and stuff, but there were points where I was thinking about changing it but then I felt like I wasn’t allowed to because they’d done all of this promoting and all of these pictures being associated with how I look and stuff. I felt like it’s a strong look, people know me and if I change it, I gotta get used to a whole 'nother look of me and I wasn’t at a point where I was purposeful enough for a drastic change. Like when Sasha changed her hair color, it was because she turned heel after being babyface and then she went and did the blueprint and stuff. I just felt like I never had enough behind me to do a drastic change like that."
Bea made her comeback with NJPW earlier this week at Resurgence. You can read more about that here.
