It was the first time Priestley was in action since November 2024 when she was still with WWE. She was released from the company in February. The former Blair Davenport joined Highspots' Sign-it-Live and commented on her return to in-ring competition.

I sure did (make my return to wrestling at NJPW Resurgence)... It was in Ontario, California. Yeah, but initially when they told me, I was like, ‘Wait, that’s not in Canada is it?’ (She laughed) Yeah, but that was awesome and I feel like it was really cool seeing all the New Japan boys again because I’d see them all the time in Japan. So, it was great to be back. Loved it.

In prior media appearances, Priestley opened up about her time in WWE and to read her comments, head over to this link.
