Becky Lynch is still looking for a fight with Beth Phoenix.
Lynch's husband Seth Rollins recently put Phoenix's husband Edge out of action on the September 10 episode of WWE SmackDown. With their two husbands battling throughout the summer and Edge being put on the shelf by Rollins, Lynch is hoping this will lead to Beth stepping up to defend her man.
"Yeah, I’ve been trying to get a fight out of Beth Phoenix for a long time,” Lynch revealed during a media session in London (via TalkSPORT). “Maybe this would be one way to go, we’ll see if we can reel her in.”
Phoenix hasn't wrestled since competing in the 2020 Women's Royal Rumble.
Elsewhere during the media session, Lynch discussed the possibility of teaming up with her fellow Horsewomen Sasha Banks, Bayley, and Charlotte Flair.
“As a stable? Gosh, I don’t know. We all love beating the hell out of each other. There’s so much history between all of us that I don’t know. One thing that I do consider is that the enemy of my enemy is my friend. So now we’re seeing a lot of girls coming up and disrupting the order and I don’t know that we [The Four Horsewomen] like that. So I’d rather Charlotte on top… No, I can’t say that! Maybe I prefer Sasha and Bayley on top than one of these newcomers or Rhea Ripley and whatever, you know? Maybe, I’m just saying if that was ever going to be an idea, maybe that’s the way to go," she said.
Lynch is currently on top of SmackDown women's division as the SmackDown Women's Champion.
She is set to defend her title against Bianca Belair at WWE Extreme Rules. You can view the current lineup for WWE Extreme Rules by clicking here.
