Becky Lynch: Sasha Banks Has Fallen From Grace, It Seems Like She Can't Hack it

Becky Lynch weighs in on Sasha Banks sitting at home.

Fans haven't seen Sasha Banks since WrestleMania 35 when she and Bayley lost the Women's Tag Team Titles. On that same night, Becky Lynch was making history, main eventing the show and defeating Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair to win the Raw and SmackDown Women's Titles. Frustrated with losing the titles and not getting the established reign she envisioned, Banks reportedly wanted to leave the company over WrestleMania weekend. Meanwhile, Lynch is featured on both Raw and SmackDown as the Champ Champ and will wrestle twice at WWE Money in the Bank.

Speaking to Sports Illustrated, Lynch gave her thoughts on Sasha staying home.

“Come fight me, Sasha,” said Lynch. “At one time, Sasha Banks was the top dog, she was ‘The Boss,’ but Sasha’s fallen from grace. It seems like she can’t hack it. Let’s prove something. I know we’ve had tremendous matches back in NXT, and it’s been an age since we stepped in the ring together, and I would love to again, but this is a whole different kettle of fish. This ain’t ‘The Lasskicker’ anymore, this is ‘The Man.’ I would love to go toe-to-toe, ‘The Man’ vs. ‘The Boss,’ to prove who is the top dog now."

Lynch and Banks are part of the Four Horsewomen and established friends. It's possible The Man could be in-character and working an angle to lure Banks back to the promotion.

Later in the interview, Lynch discussed how she felt when she saw other people getting opportunities that she thought should have been hers.

“I’ve got nothing to hide,” said Lynch. “I’ve obsessed about this and I’ve wanted it for so long, and I know what it’s like to sit in the back and watch other people get opportunities while I wanted to be doing what I love more than anything in the entire world. And I had to sit there in catering and watch that? That is a horrible feeling.”

Banks was reportedly set to be part of the WWE's European tour but did not travel with the company. It is unknown when she will return to the promotion.
