Ben Bishop Comments On WWE Tryout Performance, Feels Like He Did ‘Way Better Than Last Time’

Ben Bishop comments on his WWE tryout.

During WWE SummerSlam weekend, WWE hosted multiple days of tryouts, bringing in independent names like Vert Vixen, Ben Bishop, Eli Knight, and LJ Cleary.

Speaking with the Fight Factory Wrestling Podcast, Bishop recalled his experience with the tryout, saying that he’s confident in his performance.

“Honestly, it was a great few days. I’m confident with how I did, it’s out of my hands now.”

Bishop was then asked if he got a specific reaction or vibe from anyone at the tryout.

“They no-sell you the whole time. They’re not there to coach, they’re there to judge, it’s a tryout.”

The 35-year-old continued on, saying that there was 51 people in total at the tryout.

“There was 51. 51 people. There were 17 indie talent and athletes from around the world. It was very international. There was Egypt, Tunisia, the UK, Ireland, Germany, Sweden, Denmark.”

The conversation wrapped up with Bishop saying that his performance was way better than his first tryout, which occurred back in 2021.

“Yes. Thankfully, this tryout, there’s a lot more promos, more matches. I can’t keep up with the little guys in the drills all the time, but I got through all of them. Way better than last time. Yeah, they put a lot more emphasis on the character and the personality, which I can show that.”

Fightful will update fans if anyone from the recent tryout signs with WWE.
