Ben Carter clears up the timeline of his WWE offer.
Ben Carter appeared on the September 8, 2020 episode of AEW Dark, losing to Ricky Starks. On a special Late Night Dynamite that aired on September 22, Carter had a standout match against Scorpio Sky.
In October, Fightful reported that WWE had an interest in Carter with NXT UK making a major play to bring him into the promotion.
Carter reportedly signed with WWE later in the month and his WWE debut was announced in December.
Taking to social media, Carter stated he had an offer from WWE before making appearances elsewhere, not after.

AEW talents such as Will Hobbs and Eddie Kingston have stated WWE reached out to them after they appeared on AEW television. Both men declined WWE's offer and signed with AEW.
Carter officially made his NXT UK debut on January 7.
