Berwyn Eagles Club Will No Longer Host Pro Wrestling Events After April 24th Following Alleged Stabbing Incident At Indie Show

Multiple updates on the future of wrestling at Berwyn Eagles Club.

Game Changer Wrestling’s official X account posted that their June 20th show at Berwyn Eagles Club in Berwyn, Illinois, has been cancelled. GCW owner Brett Lauderdale followed up by noting that the reasoning is because of the ‘fake stabbing’ incident that involved former MLW World Heavyweight Champion Krule a.k.a. Mads Krule Krügger.

Ruthless Pro Wrestling held an event on March 28th at Berwyn Eagles Club. After the show, it was claimed that a fan tried stabbing Krule with a knife. A video was shared on social media of wrestlers coming to the aid of Krule and beating up the fan. Krule later shared that he was fine.

24-year wrestler Robert ‘Ego’ Anthony took to X and shared that he spoke to a representative of the Berwyn Eagles Club, and it was relayed to him that the venue will no longer be hosting pro wrestling events. April 24th will be the last show the venue hosts, and it is AAW’s ‘Crush & Destroy’ event. Anthony will be in action on that show. AAW consistently runs events at Berwyn Eagles.

Below is Anthony’s tweet:

I talked to Chuck at Berwyn. April 24 will be the end of the Eagles Club and wrestling. 22 years ago Berwyn started with AAW and wrestling, and 22 years later it will end with AAW! I’m sad and proud to say I’ll be there for the start and the ending. Let’s send it out right.

Fightful Select reported that a number of people at the Ruthless Pro Wrestling show were spoken to, and it was relayed to the site that they did not see a knife during the attack on Krule, but either way, he was fine.
