The Best Pure Striker In Wrestling The Undertaker Says Kurt Angle Was Afraid To Take His Punch

Kurt Angle is an Olympic gold medalist and has openly talked about his UFC aspirations. Maybe Kurt could have survived an overhand right from Chuck Liddell, but an overhand right from The Undertaker? That's just too much.

Appearing on WWE After The Bell, Undertaker talked about his favorite opponents and told the story of Kurt Angle being afraid of his punch.

Dijak Says His Current Character Is The Most Comfortable One He's Been In WWE

"Kurt, I had some classic matches with Kurt that don't get enough attention," said Undertaker. "He was one of my favorites, once he got over the fear of my punch [laughs]. Kurt, bless his heart, he was amazing in the ring, but I'll never forget...it's in an early episode (of The Last Ride), the first time I drawback to throw the big right hand at him, his face was like....like I was going to take his head off, right? It stopped me. I'm about to hit him, after he's already waffled me three or four times in the ear, and he's got this look on his face like I'm about to cave his head in and I just stop. 'Really, what are you doing?' 'IT'S GONNA HURT!' 'YOU'RE AN OLYMPIC GOLD MEDALIST. SHUT UP!'"

Angle and Undertaker first stepped into the ring at a house show in 2000. Throughout their respective careers, the two battled countless times in the ring. Somehow, Kurt managed to survive the hands of the best pure striker in wrestling history.
