Bianca Belair To Defend SmackDown Women's Title Against Bayley At WrestleMania Backlash

WWE has just announced the second match for WrestleMania Backlash.

Via Twitter, the company shared the news that Bayley would challenge Bianca Berlair for the SmackDown Women's Title at the May 16th event. Belair won the Championship from Sasha Banks in the main event of WrestleMania 37 (Night One).

Belair and Bayley had feuded throughout December and January, competing in everything from singles and tag team matches to obstacle courses. Belair defeated Bayley in their last one-on-one encounter before going on to win the Royal Rumble match.

Bayley's last two victories came against Liv Morgan and Ruby Riott on the 5th and 12th of February. She hasn't competed since losing a 6-man tag match that saw her teamed up with Nia Jax and Shayna Basler against Sasha Banks, Bianca Belair, and Reginald.

In the main event of the first night of WrestleMania, Belair Belair realized her dream when she conquered Sasha Banks and captured the SmackDown Women’s Title in epic fashion.

The longest-reigning SmackDown Women's Champion is history is as dangerous as they come and already has an extremely turbulent history with Belair on the blue brand. After being embarrassed by WWE Hall of Famers Bella Twins on The Grandest Stage of Them All, The Role Model will surely be motivated to remind everyone of just how good she really is against the dynamic new titleholder.
