Bianca Belair Unsure When She Will Return To The Ring, Broke Her Finger In Three Places And The Joint
Bianca Belair hasn’t wrestled since WrestleMania 41 when she suffered a finger injury during her triple threat match against IYO SKY and Rhea Ripley.
She has appeared on WWE TV, most notably serving as the special guest referee for Naomi vs. Jade Cargill at WWE Evolution.
Speaking to Shakiel Mahjouri to CBS Sports, Belair said she can’t commit to an in-ring return at the moment.
“I broke it in three places and the joint. It healed, but it won’t bend. You can’t wrestle with a straight finger because it’ll break again… I can’t even sew right now. I can’t even make gear. We’re on the end of this healing process, so we might have some time, but you never know. Crazy things happen.”
Belair continued, “I needed this break. I’ve been going for the past five years nonstop in the title picture, filming reality TV shows and appearances. I think I had over 300 appearances in one year.”
It’s noted, “Belair is waiting to see if surgery is necessary, but would not rule out a SummerSlam appearance.” As of now Belair is not scheduled to compete at WWE SummerSlam.
