Big E: It's Weird To Say I'm Having An Awesome Run And People Are Loving It When There's No Crowd

Big E admits that it's hard to tell if his singles run is really getting over without the feedback of a live audience.

WWE has continued throughout the entire Global pandemic finding ways to make it work without an audience. However, even with the advent of the WWE ThunderDome, it can be difficult for performers who are so used to reacting based on a live audience to know whether or not what they are doing is really connecting as well as it can be.

Tatum Paxley: I Came So Close To Winning NXT Women's Title, I'm Not Done

The current WWE Intercontinental Champion, Big E, speaks candidly about this difficult aspect of the current era of WWE after being asked by Renee Paquette on her podcast, Oral Sessions if Big E feels like he is currently seeing the culmination of all his hard work

“I don't know if things are going well, but it's also a weird time because, in wrestling, your fans are your barometer and that's the beautiful thing is that a crowd in Jackson, Mississippi may respond differently from a crowd in Sacramento or a crowd in Baltimore. If you can hit all these different towns and it keeps working and they're loud, that's when you know. ‘hey, I've got something good here and it's working.’ Now, we don't have that.”

He continued, “The feedback seems to have been good, but it's weird to say, ‘yeah, I'm having an awesome run and people are loving it,’ because there's no one yelling in the arenas. So, I don't know.”

In regards to his partners, Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods, Big E said they were very happy for him and he couldn't imagine being paired with any more selfless people.

“They've always been supportive and I always appreciate that. Woods was out of time when we first did the singles stuff but Kofi was there and as soon as we both heard together, he was so genuinely happy for me and excited about whatever would come. I can't imagine being in a group with two more selfless people and that's what I've always appreciated is it can be easy to be selfish to just worry about your own push, but I love the fact that we're always so genuinely supportive of each other and our project whether they be in WWE or outside of the company, whatever it is and they were there for me and I appreciate that."

Big E is completely separate from Kofi and Xavier as the ladder to our members of the Monday Night Raw brand. Currently, Kofi and Xavier seem to be headed towards a feud with Mustafa Ali and RETRIBUTION. As for E, he recently successfully defended his Intercontinental Championship against Apollo Crews.
