Big E: My Career Is Kind Of Behind Me
On the March 11, 2022 episode of WWE SmackDown, Big E suffered a neck injury when he landed on his head following a belly-to-belly suplex from Ridge Holland. Big E fractured his C1 vertebrae and C6 vertebrae but didn’t suffer any ligament or spinal cord damage.
Big E has often stated that he is able to live a normal day-to-day life and has no issues with pain or discomfort. He has continued to work for WWE, joining the pre-show and post-show panel for WWE PLEs.
Appearing on What’s Your Story with Stephanie McMahon, Big E was surprised that she wanted him as a guest.
“For all the people you’ve had on, I’m like, ‘why me?’ My career is kind of behind me. I’m someone who is appreciative, I think I had a really good career and I’m proud of it, but you’ve had John Cena, Livvy Dunne, some of the biggest names,” he said.
Stephanie explained that she wanted Big E on the show because of who he is as a person, how much love he gives, and his journey.
Much of the discussion centered around mental health and how Big E has improved his mental health throughout his life.
