Big E Recalls New Day Shooting A Booty-O’s Commercial With Brodie Lee Jr That Was Unreleasable

Big E might need to dive into the archives for this one.

Booty-O’s were a cultural moment for wrestling fans in 2016. Due to the New Day’s explosion in popularity, the cereal ending up releasing in FYE stores later that year. The sensation, primarily driven by merchandise, would end up continuing for many years.

Speaking with Sam Roberts for a new interview, Big E talked about shooting an ad for Booty-O’s with Brodie Lee Jr. Sadly, the commercial was considered to be too weird and bizarre to release.

“There was another thing we shot. We wanted to shoot a whimsical Saturday morning style cereal commercial. We tried doing something on our phones. We had little Brodie, who is now not so little. At the time, I think Amanda [Huber] was backstage and she let us use Brodie for this thing. I forgot the premise but it was the three of us dressed up as moms. We had this really terrible lipstick, we wore moomoos and we tried to do something that kind of felt, I don’t want to say creepy, but a little off-putting. But, still kind of in that Saturday morning cartoon thing. We shot it and then we looked at it. Look, we put out a lot of things that are weird and bizarre. We looked at it and said, we can’t release this. This is weird and bad. It was too much.”

In case you missed it, Brodie Lee Jr won his debut singles match back in April. Learn about the event and his opponent by clicking here.
