Big E Reveals Angle That Never Made TV Where He And Xavier Woods Trashed Vince McMahon's Office

Kofi Kingston’s rise to the top of the mountain and winning the WWE Championship was one of WWE’s biggest storylines of 2019, but there was one angle that never happened in the buildup to Kingston’s title win.

On the New Day: Feel The Power podcast, Big E spoke an angle that never made television where he and Xavier Woods were so irate about the unfair treatment towards Kingston and storm into Vince McMahon’s office. According to Big E, he and Woods were so angry that they would have thrashed McMahon’s office.

“I don’t remember the day, but the original plan was, you and I were supposed to go backstage, on a tear, ripping things up, go to [McMahon’s] office. We knock on his door and, either he doesn’t answer or says, ‘I don’t have time for you’ or something like that. But the plan was originally, and I was so excited for this, we legit kick in the door and we tear his office up, legit throw things over. I think he's in the office, in the corner. We're throwing tables over, and getting to make quite a mess of his office and just going on a rampage and having this visceral anger about what's happening to Kofi,” Big E said.

Later in the podcast, Big E spoke about some of the language that was directed towards Kofi in storyline as reasoning for him not being good enough to be WWE Champion. Big E talked about how there were already people who had won the title before and were not necessarily huge men and under six feet. In that regard, the storyline could be interpreted any way one could in terms of the language that was or wasn’t said on television, according to Big E.

“It’s not 10-15 years ago when you had to be 6’4” and have jacked muscles," Big E said. "We had AJ Styles at this point as champion before. We had Daniel Bryan, a lot of sub-6’ guys and not that massive, so what exactly are you saying?”

Kingston ended up beating Bryan at WrestleMania 35 last year to become the new WWE Champion and held the belt all the way until last October.
