After nearly a year out of the ring, former WWE Divas Champion Nikki Bella returned at Summerslam.
Nikki Bella replaced the injured Eva Marie in the six-woman tag team match on the Summerslam PPV, emerging victorious and gaining the pin for her team after a TKO. Eva Marie was suspended for 30 days due to a wellness violation, but the company still kept her storyline going where she made excuses to not wrestle.
Bella returned to training at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando this month, and was also recently seen training with former UFC fighter Shayna Baszler. Bella has been told previously that she'll likely never be able to resume a full-time scheduled. Fightful.com reported last month that we were told the plan is for Nikki Bella to return to the Smackdown brand, where her boyfriend John Cena wrestles.
Bella also said that she was going to have to retire her "Rack Attack" finishing move, which won her the WWE Divas Championship. When training for a return to the ring, Nikki mentioned that she worked with Daniel Bryan to develop a new finishing move.
