Billy Gunn: We’re Basing Our Television Program Off The Internet, Which Is Not Good

Billy Gunn weighs in on social media feedback.
The nature of pro wrestling allows fans to give instant feedback as wrestlers perform their craft in front of a live audience. If fans aren’t there live, they might weigh in through social media.
Bill Gunn doesn’t believe promotions should listen to social media as much as they do because it tends to be more negative.
“What we’re doing is basing our television program off the internet and social media, which is not good. We’re not going to please everybody. Which ones on social media do you attract yourself to? No matter what, people on social media find a reason to hate everything. Some people love me, a lot of people hate me. Why? I don’t even know them,” he said while speaking to Steve Novak on the ALL Real Wrestling podcast.
Gunn is signed to AEW, where he’s working as a coach as he’s been off television.
Elsewhere during the interview, Gunn commented on the current state of wrestling and wrestlers. You can find his full comments here.
